Th is family tree concerns my family which reside mostly near Scartaglin Co Kerry. The majority of  my ancestors originated in this area [Scartaglin,Castleisland,Firies and Ballymacelligott].My  grandfather was born near Newcastlewest in Limerick.He lived and worked in Millstreet Co Cork  where  some of his family were born.This family tree is my humble attempt to gather together as  much information as possible so as I can pass it on to my descendants for future reference,and also  for any others who may find some helpful links or clues to their ancestors.My grandfather Thomas  Barrett [my mothers father] was born at Ballymurragh west ,parish of Monagea in 1857 .He had two  brothers and one sister .their names were Edmond, Daniel, and Margaret.Margaret married Patrick  Mcgreale in Briska Shanagolden some of their descendants still live In this area.I believe some  Barrett relatives still live in general area.This place is localy called Barna.My Reidy ancestry  apparently originates in Ballymcelligot,it seems that my great grandfather John Reidy settled in  Gortgloss sometime in the mid 1800s.The oConnors were from Glounsharoon a townland about 3 miles  north of Castleisland. The Brownes came from Molahiffe in Firies parish,and the Kerin family lived  Killhoran about 4 miles east of Scartaglin.I can trace the Kerin side of my family back to about  1775 approx.If I had as much information as I know of the Kerins family on my other relatives I  would be in a far better position.However will keep searching and hopefully can add some more to  this tree as time goes on.
